Happy holidays! It’s amazing to think 2019 is nearly over and that we’re moving into our 6th year of brewing nerdery. Whereas change came quick in the beginning, the overarching theme for Brülosophy in 2019 was maintenance, and the fact we were able to consistently publish two articles and a podcast episode every week was certainly validating. On top of that, despite the oft discussed current lull in homebrewing and craft beer, we’ve continued to see growth in terms of both readers of the site and listeners of the podcast, which is very motivating!
I can’t go into much detail at this point, but suffice to say we’re very excited for all 2020 has in store! For now, I’d like to review some of our most popular content from the last year.

These are the 5 episodes that received the most listens over the last 12 months.

- Episode 083 | Wood Aging Beer
- Episode 093 | exBEERience: Reducing Cold-Side Oxidation
xBmt Articles
Our exBEERiment, aka xBmt, series is what put Brülosophy on the map and continues to be our highest traffic web content. Here are the 5 xBmt articles that were viewed the most in 2019 including the original date of publishing.

- Märzen| 9/19/19

Brü It Yourself
Whereas the good majority of what we do is data based, we started the Brü It Yourself series as a way to share interesting stuff we’re up to that doesn’t involve data collection. We think of it as our way of paying homage to some of our favorite brewing blogs.

- India Pale Lager (IPL) | 3/14/19

1 thought on “2019 | A Year In Review”
Congrats on a bunch of great articles again this year. Brulosophy has contributed a ton of practical info to a hobby and helps dispel a lot of anecdote-unspired anxieties among home brewers.
I’m sure every reader has had quibbles about something, but I think it’s safe to say everyone appreciates the effort in expanding the body of evidence — this is a great example of citizen science at work. Looking forward to what is up in 2020.
