  1. Marshall, you frequently talk about your cider recipe and Jersey/Tim talk about how good it is. I’ve never brewed one, but my wife likes them. Do you mind sharing your recipe?

        So, I am a beer guy….who am I kidding? I’m an ALCOHOL guy, BUT, I prefer my beers…However, my husband is a cider drinker. We have been together since 2011 and ever since I got back into brewing in 2020, I have made a few ciders, with varying results. I tried this one and he flipping loved it. So, thank you. It’s not so much I care about his feelings, but more so not having to listen to him complain about me drinking beer, because he is busy stuffing his face with the cider. BOOM. Gay or straight, this recipe seems to keep the Other Half happy. Cheers!

    Marshall- I’m a HUGE fan of micheladas and if I’m not mistaken, I believe I’ve heard you mention that you are too. We are planning a family reunion this summer and I wanted to contribute a 5 gallon keg of homebrew for a michelada bar. Do you have any Ideas for an all-grain Mexican light lager recipe that might be perfect for this?

      90% Pils, 10% Vienna

      15 IBU Magnum at 60 min, 1 oz Tettnang at 10 min

      Imperial Urkel (50F or 66F)

        Dude, so I finally got around to brewing a test batch of this recipe. I used 90% Francin Pils from Skagit Valley Malting and 10% Vienna (like you recommended). Because I don’t have a fermentation chamber and I’m going to be using this beer for micheladas, I decided I was just going to let it rip at room temp and see what happens. It fermented for 7 days at 70-77 degrees F. After it was done I transferred it to a keg and tossed it in the keezer. Although I thought this beer was going to taste like garbage I was completely floored to find out that this beer was actually a lot better than expected! I know some people will complain about the 70-77 degree fermentation temp, but honestly I’m not a huge lager guy and I think it came out just fine! Perfect beer for a michelada! Thanks for the recommendation!
