The Brülosophy Podcast | Episode 003: Brewing With Kiwis (Not The Fruit)

Author: Marshall Schott

After being unable to attend the first New Zealand Homebrewers Conference last year, I was offered a second opportunity this year and thankfully was able to make it. In this episode of The Brülosophy Podcast, I share interviews I did with a couple New Zealand based companies who I think are doing great things for brewing, particularly when it comes to homebrewers. I chat with some guys from The Grainfather about recent updates to their all-in-one brewing system as well as innovative new products they plan to release soon including a badass glycol conical fermentor.

before sitting down with Gabi Michael, co-owner of New Zealand’s family-owned Gladfield Malt, to discuss some of the great things they’re doing with our favorite grains.

Finally, I talk with the guys responsible for organizing the New Zealand Homebrewers Conference about the logistics of organizing such an event in addition to the unique competition and judging format they developed called BrewMania.

Southern California Homebrewers Fest

I recently signed on to speak at the SoCal Homebrewers Fest that will be held at Vail Lake Resort in Temecula, CA on May 5-6. This will be my first time attending and I’m quite excited given what I’ve heard from folks who have attended in the past. You have to be a member of the California Homebrewers Association to attend and registration is still open, so if you’re interested, jump on it!

Homebrew Con 2017

Dude, seriously, just come, it’s going to be great. Today is the last day to register at the reduced price, so if you’re on the fence, allow that to entice you to go do! If you’re not already a member of the American Homebrewers Association, click here now to sign up then go here to register for Homebrew Con. Thank me later.

The image in the article is it. Grainfather has yet to release anything on the glycol chiller yet, hence the difficulty finding info online. Soon!

      2. “Thank you for getting in touch 🙂 yes we anticipate to have these available ( the glycol chiller & conical fermenter) August/October all going well :)” Says Grainfather. That’s a long wait :/
