Kazbek hops – named after a dormant volcano – were developed in the Czech Republic and are considered something of Super Saaz. Bringing aromas of citrus, sweet fruits, and berries, Martin was curious to learn what a beer brewed with only Kazbek hops would taste like. To find out, he brewed a pale lager with Kazbek added as the bittering, flavor, and aroma additions. Then he served the beer to tasters for evaluation to determine what qualities Kazbek hops impart to a a pale lager.

Thanks Martin for giving away my secret hop! 😉 Seriously though, I love Kazbek…have used it as the sole hop in a Czech Dark and it was fantastic. Brewing a Czech Pils next week using a blend of it and Saaz. The description of it being Super Saaz is spot on.
Really wish these were written up rather than videos. It would take half as long for you to make, half as long for readers to digest, and there would be a lot more info communicated.
Repetitious phrases like: “A total of __ people of varying levels of experience participated…___ tasters (p<0.05) would have had to accurately identify the unique sample in order to reach statistical significance…" are skimmed over by anyone familiar with the website.
I'm fairly sure I am not alone in saying I come here for the info, which this sight provides in abundance. Why not make it easier for users to get what they came for?
