The Brülosophy Show: Training ChatGPT To Create A Blonde Ale | Brü It Yourself

We used ChatGPT to make a beer. It created the recipe, and I followed it to the letter, to brew a Blonde Ale. How did it turn out? Well I’ve gone the extra mile here and trained the AI specifically on award winning recipes. And is the result award worthy? Let’s find out.

  1. ChatGPT is not AI. AI does not exist. What you used is a really fancy ‘auto complete’. You essentially asked it for an ‘average’ of nine recipes you fed it. That’s what you brewed. Congrats. You could have looked at them yourself and devised the same recipe. (not exactly, but at least with amounts in non-detectible variance from the ChatGPT version) The IBU stats aren’t ‘hullicantions’ they are simply errant ‘auto-complete’ suggestions, just like what your messaging app throws at your screen if you have that nonsense feature turned on. ChatGPT does not and cannot ‘create’ anything. It has no comprehension of anything at all. But since the recipe was an average of nine award winning recipes, I’m sure it tasted great. It is also a bit hard to screw up a Blonde Ale if you have half a brewing clue, even using a dart-board method to choose your ingredients.
