Back in September 2020, we asked our readers and listeners to complete a brief survey intended to give us an idea of what people think about the content we produce. The survey was open for a few weeks, during which over 1100 responses were submitted, and I received hundreds of requests to share the results.
Seeing as the entire purpose of what I’ve come to call the Brülosophy Satisfaction Survey was to gauge what our fans think of what we’re doing, I had no intentions of sharing the data. However, the curious side of me completely understands why folks might be interested in this information, and for that reason, we decided to make it public.
Full disclosure– I’m nowhere near an expert at making pretty graphs and usually pay people to make them for our planned content. That wasn’t the case with this, so please keep that in mind before commenting how much better they could have been… trust me, I know.

Our decision to move forward with The Brü Lab back in March 2021 was in part due to the responses on this survey!
| CONCLUSIONS |
Overall, it’s clear that both readers and listeners of our content most prefer the exBEERiment series, which makes sense, as it’s what we’re most known for. However, we were very excited to see all of the support for our other projects, as we genuinely love brewing for, writing, and talking about them!
I trust some out there are wondering how we utilized this data for good, so I’ll give a little insider info. First off, our decision to move forward with The Brü Lab back in March 2021 was in part due to the responses on this survey, as was our choice to continue publishing two articles from The Hop Chronicles series per month. More than anything, though, this information validated all of the hard work we put into keeping Brülosophy going. As anyone who has ever produced this type of content can attest, it requires quite the investment of time, energy, and money, so knowing people out there appreciate it feels pretty damn good.
A huge cheers to those who took the time to complete the survey, and for those who implored us to share the data– you’re welcome!

More merch please! I can’t be the only one that wants to support Brulosophy by purchasing glasses, stickers, etc.
Politics got out of hand for a while there. Less politics more beer talk. Finally making my way back after a year hiatus.
