Congratulations on scoring so well, Alex! If you’ve been holding off on making lager beer because they take too long, I strongly encourage you to give this method a shot.
ED Pils Recipe
Batch Size: 5.25 gal
OG: 1.051
FG: 1.014
ABV: 4.9%
IBU: 39.3
SRM: 3.6
10 lbs German Pils Malt
0.5 oz Magnum (12.3%) @ 60
0.8 oz Spalt (3.9%) @ 30
1.0 oz Spalter (3.9%) @ 15
Irish Moss @ 10
Wyeast 2124 Bohemian Lager Yeast/WLP830 German Lager Yeast
Pitch at 60˚F, set regulator to 54˚F, then use quick lager schedule
Carbonate appropriately

That’s awesome! I’ll try the recipe for sure!… My first lager and first Festbier and first time using the fast lager method — won second place in best of show and got 46.5 on BJCP scoring sheet. Won first place at another beer pairing competition. It works!
