Simple Ain’t Always Stupid Pils

It’s no secret that Marshall is a big fan of crisp, clean, crushable pale lagers. It’s also no secret that he enjoys bucking brewing trends by, for example, using ingredients that may not necessarily be style “appropriate” or fermenting lagers at temperatures that purists deem “stupid.” It was precisely these two passions that led to the development of Simple Ain’t Always Stupid, a German Pils inspired recipe that’s made with classic yeast and hops, though includes a slight touch of Honey malt to add a toasty note, and of course he ferments it warm. CALL THE BEER POLICE! For those who prefer to stick a bit closer to tradition, this beer can be obviously be fermented cool with the same yeast to achieve what is likely a very similar beer that just takes a few weeks longer to finish. You do you, and when you do, let us know what you think!
